Minutes of the GENERAL MEETING held on Monday, the 26th of August 2013 in the South West Community Centre, 171 Sturt Street in Adelaide.
President Lynn Venning welcomed members and opened the meeting at 2:00 P.M.

GENERAL BUSINESS:-
1. Ken McLaren was welcomed back after a long absence.
2. The minutes of the General Meeting held on the 12th of August were approved at the Executive Meeting and copies were available from the table.
3. The next General Meeting will be held in two weeks time on Monday the 9th of September. The following meeting will be held on Monday the 23rd of September.
4. Names of members who intend to attend the Christmas Luncheon are being taken. Payments are also being accepted for the Christmas Luncheon to be held on Monday the 9th of December. Cost $30.00 per member.
5. Happy Birthday was sung to Secretary/Treasurer Leo who was present at the meeting.
6. Our birthday member, Leo was asked to draw the first raffle ticket.
7. Our numbers swelled to 22 members today, the best attendance for the year.
Tho following member deaths were reported; Carl Stewien, Chief Civil Engineer (aged 81) on the 11th of August 2013 and Matthew Garam, Clerk, Murray Bridge (aged 92) on 19th August 2103.
The deaths of non member Colin Finey, last week was also reported.
Members then watched a video of the (Alaskan) Mendenhall Glacier in Alaska, thanks to John Dowe.
Members were thanked for their attendance.
The Meeting was closed at 3.00 P.M.
There were 22 members present. Raffle proceeds after door prizes were $36.00.
