Minutes of the GENERAL MEETING held on Monday, the 14th November 2011 in the South
West Community Centre, 171 Sturt Street in Adelaide.
President Lynn Venning welcomed members and opened the meeting at 2:00 P.M.

GENERAL BUSINESS: -
1. The minutes of the previous General Meeting were accepted at the Executive Meeting and
copies were available from the table along with copies of the timetable for next year.
2. The Christmas Luncheon will be held on Monday the 12th of December 2011 at the Pavilion
on the Park. Bookings are still being accepted. The cost to members who attend the
Christmas Luncheon is $25.00 per person. To date, 40 members have booked.
3. Any member who wishes to bring along a small present to be raffled at the Christmas
Luncheon is most welcome to do so.
4. The next meeting will be the AGM on Monday the 20th of February.
5. Eddie Halden was welcomed back after a short absence and was invited to draw the first raffle ticket.
6. Members then watched an interesting film about U.S. travel by train in Washington State and the Grand Canyon.
7. Ron Perkins reported that Val McGrady is now living in Hostel Care and Laurie Purtle is still
living independently, but now in Val's home.
8. Dawn Shearer has moved into Hostel care.
9. An email from Elaine Sykes (Humphries) was read to members.
Elaine has accepted an invitation to attend the Christmas Luncheon.
Members were thanked for their attendance and wished a Merry Christmas and a Happy and
Save New Year.
The Meeting was closed at 3:05 P.M.
There were 24 members present. Raffle proceeds after door prizes were $38.00.
