GENERAL BUSINESS:-

1. The minutes of the General Meeting held on Monday the 4th of August were accepted as correct at the Executive Meeting and copies were available from the table.

2. Members were asked to think about the future of the club. How often do we wish to meet (fortnightly or once a month). Do we meet just for a chat occasionally or some other activity? In view of the dwindling numbers speakers are difficult to arrange.

3. Anyone wishing to come on to the committee and arrange speakers is welcome to do so.

4. Due to the almost nonexistent balance in the cheque book and the bank fees involved in keeping the account, members were in agreement that the account should be closed. The remaining money is to be used to subsidise the Christmas Luncheon.

5. The next meeting will be on Monday the 1st of September 2014. A DVD will be shown.

6. The Christmas Luncheon will be held on Monday the 8th of December. The cost will be $35 per person including drinks. Names are being taken. Seventeen members have booked so far.

7. John Dowe then invited Albert Masghan to draw the first raffle ticket.

8. A DVD on Alpine Railways in Switzerland was shown.

Members were thanked for their attendance.

The Meeting was closed at 2.55 P.M.

There were 17 members present. Raffle proceeds after door prizes were $26.00
