Minutes of the GENERAL MEETING held on Monday, the 7th of July 2014 in the South West Community Centre, 171 Sturt Street in Adelaide.
President Lynn Venning welcomed members and declared the meeting open at 2:00 P.M.

The death of club member, David Boanas, Mechanical Inspector, Mile End on the 25th of June 2014 aged 87. John Dowe and Bob Boots both attended his funeral.
GENERAL BUSINESS:-
1. The minutes of the General Meetings held on 23rd of June were accepted as correct at the Executive Meeting and copies were available from the table.
2. Pat Marzahn was congratulated as he and his wife Eva had recently celebrated their 60th Wedding Anniversary.
3. Brian Biggs reported that Brian Butler a former relief porter on the South Line and Salisbury who now lives in Clare is currently in the Lyell McEwin Hospital suffering from asbestosis.
4. A financial statement for the first half of the 2014 financial year was certified as correct by our auditor Jack Strapps and was available for inspection by members.
5. The next meeting will be on Monday the 21st July 2014. A DVD will be shown.
6. The Christmas Luncheon has been booked for Monday the 8th of December. The cost will be $35 per person including drinks.
7. The following meeting will be held on Monday the 7th of July
8. John Dowe then invited Pat Marzahn to draw the first raffle ticket.
9. A DVD on Extreme Machines about serious rail crashes was shown.
Members were thanked for their attendance.
The Meeting was closed at 3.05 P.M.
There were 18 members present. Raffle proceeds after door prizes were $28.00
