Minutes of the GENERAL MEETING held on Monday, the 19th of November 2012 in the South West Community Centre, 171 Sturt Street in Adelaide.

President Lynn Venning welcomed members and opened the meeting at 2:00 P.M.

GENERAL BUSINESS:-

1. Laurie Purtle was welcomed back, he has just moved house and has had a short stay in the QEH but has been sent home with a clean bill of health!

2. It was good to see Barbara Nicks in good health once again after a quick trip to the R.A.H. after our last meeting.

3. Dawn Shearer was reportedly in poor health

4. Frank Driver gave an update on the health of our Patron, Ron Fitch.

   After suffering two recent falls, he is recovering in a rehabilitation hospital and is not expected to attend the Christmas Luncheon.

5. Norman Coventry was welcomed back after a ten (10) year absence.

6. Minutes of the previous meeting were accepted at the Executive Meeting and copies were available from the table.

7. A list of the dates for next year’s meetings was also available from the table.

8. The Christmas Luncheon will be held on Monday the 10th of December at the Pavilion on the Park.

    The cost to members will be $25.00 per person including drinks.

9. Names and payments are still being accepted for the Xmas Luncheon. Currently 39 members have booked.

10. Any one wishing to donate a small prize or prizes to be raffled at the Christmas Luncheon are welcome to so.

11. The Annual General Meeting will be held on Monday the 11th of February 2013.

12. Barrie Stroud then invited Norman Coventry to draw the first Raffle Ticket.

13. This was followed by a DVD featuring Railways in South Australia and Western Australia.

Members were thanked for their attendance.

The Meeting was closed at 3.00 P.M.

There were 24 members present. Raffle proceeds after door prizes were $40.00.
