Minutes of the GENERAL MEETING held on Monday, the 5th of March 2012 in the South West
Community Centre, 171 Sturt Street in Adelaide.
President Lynn Venning welcomed members and opened the meeting at 2:00 P.M.

Laurie Purtle was welcomed back after a long absence.

Members then sang happy birthday to Frank Driver who was present at the meeting.
The death of club member Murray Chandler on the 26th of February 2012 (retired Car Shed
Foreman, Adelaide) aged 96 was reported.
GENERAL BUSINESS: -
1. The minutes of the Annual General Meeting held on the 20th of February 2012 was
accepted at the Executive Meeting and copies were available from the table.
2. There will is a Railway Reunion being held at the National Railway Museum, Port
Adelaide on Wednesday the 7th of March 2012 from 10:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M.
3. The next meeting will be held on Monday the 19th of March 2012.
4. Frank Driver was then invited to draw the first raffle ticket.
5. A DVD of early rail disasters, which lead to improvements in railway signalling
systems and safety, was shown.
Members were thanked for their attendance.
The Meeting was closed at 3:05 P.M.
There were 21 members present. Raffle proceeds after door prizes were $34.00.
