Minutes of the GENERAL MEETING held on Monday, the 26th September 2011 in the South
West Community Centre, 171 Sturt Street in Adelaide.
President Lynn Venning welcomed members and opened the meeting at 2:00 P.M.

The death of club member Thelma Matthews (wife of Colin, deceased), aged 96 was reported.
Also the death of non-club member Garry Watson, Electrician, Islington aged 58 was reported.
GENERAL BUSINESS: -
1. The minutes of the previous General Meeting were accepted at the Executive Meeting and
copies were available from the table.
2. The Next Meeting will be held on Monday the 10th of October. A travel DVD of trains/travel
is planned at this time.
3. The following meeting will be held on Monday 24th of October.
4. Names and payment for the Christmas Luncheon (on Monday the 12th of December 2011 at
the Pavilion on the Park) are still being accepted. The cost to members who attend the
Christmas Luncheon is $25.00 per person. To date, 30 members have booked.
5. Harry Sonnenberg was wished a Happy 81st Birthday for the 15th of September.
6. Brian Biggs (and his wife) were congratulated for celebrating their 52nd Wedding
Anniversary today.
7. Leo received a phone call from Laurie Maidment advising that he has recently undergone by-
pass surgery and that he may attend today's meeting!
8. Brian Biggs was asked to draw the first raffle ticket.
9. Members then watched an interesting DVD depicting the Great South Pacific Express.
Members were thanked for their attendance.
The Meeting was closed at 3:05 P.M.
There were 19 members present. Raffle proceeds after door prizes were $30.00
Future meetings will be on the 7th & 21st November.
Christmas Luncheon will be on Monday the 12th of December at the Pavilion on the Park.
