Minutes of the GENERAL MEETING held on Monday, the 29th August 2011 in the South West
Community Centre, 171 Sturt Street in Adelaide.
President Lynn Venning welcomed members and opened the meeting at 2:05 P.M.

The death of a non-club member Peter Anthony on the 19th of August 2011, aged 59 years was
reported. Worked for the S.A.R., A.N., National Rail & Pacific National, possibly as an Engineman?
GENERAL BUSINESS: -
1. The minutes of the previous General Meeting were accepted at the Executive Meeting and
copies were available from the table.
2. Barrie Stroud was asked to draw the first raffle ticket.
3. The Next Meeting will be held on Monday the 12th of September. A travel DVD of trains in
Europe is planned at this time.
4. The following meeting will be held on Monday 26th of September.
5. Names and payment for the Christmas Luncheon (on Monday the 12th of December 2011 at the
Pavilion on the Park) are now being accepted. The cost to members who attend the Christmas
Luncheon will be $25.00 per person.
6. Members then watched an interesting DVD depicting mainly steam trains on the Peterborough
Division in the 1950's/1960's thanks to Pat Marzahn.
Members were thanked for their attendance.
The Meeting was closed at 3:05 P.M.
There were 23 members present. Raffle proceeds after door prizes were $36.00
Future meetings will be on 10th & 24th of October and also 7th & 21st November.
Christmas Luncheon will be on Monday the 12th of December at the Pavilion on the Park.
