Minutes of the GENERAL MEETING held on Monday, the 1st August 2011 in the South West
Community Centre, 171 Sturt Street in Adelaide.
President Lynn Venning welcomed members and opened the meeting at 2:00 P.M.

The death of a non-member Les Lehman, Chef (Indian Pacific)/Goods Shed Assistant Dry
Creek, on the 24th of July 2011 aged 76 years was reported.
GENERAL BUSINESS: -
1. The minutes of the previous General Meeting were accepted at the Executive Meeting
and copies were available from the table.
2. Peter Gardiner was asked to draw the first raffle ticket.
3. The Next Meeting will be held on Monday the 15th of August. Pat Marzahn has offered
to show a DVD of the S.A.R. in the 1950's and 1960's.
4. The following meeting will be held on Monday 29th of August.
5. Names and payment for the Christmas Luncheon (which has been booked for Monday the 12th
of December 2011 at the Pavilion on the Park) are now being accepted. The cost to members
who attend the Christmas Luncheon will be $25.00 per person.
6. Members then watched very interesting DVD depicting trams in Adelaide in the 1950's thanks
to Pat Marzahn.
Members were thanked for their attendance.
The Meeting was closed at 3:00 P.M.
There were 26 members present. Raffle proceeds after door prizes were $42.00
