Minutes of the GENERAL MEETING held on Monday, the 22nd of November 2010 in the South West Community
Centre,171 Sturt Street in Adelaide.
President Lynn Venning welcomed members and declared the meeting open at 2:00 P.M.
APOLOGIES: - R. Tilley, J. Dowe, J. Strapps, L. Purtle & V. McGrady.
President Lynn Venning introduced today's guest speaker, club member, John Evans, who gave a most
interesting power point presentation about his forthcoming new book "Proceed to Wilmington".
At the completion of the talk, Lynn Venning thanked John for coming along and speaking to our members.
Members responded with acclamation. John was then asked to draw the first raffle ticket.
GENERAL BUSINESS: -
Harry Sonnenberg was welcomed back from his overseas holiday.
Keith Robertson was welcomed back after a long absence.
Val McGrady was reported, still on the sick list, after recovering from a recent knee operation she
now has eye problems preventing her from attending today's meeting.
Jack Strapps wife is currently recovering in the burns unit in Hospital.
38/40 members are now expected to attend the Christmas luncheon. Cost $30 per person. Any payments
would be appreciated at the close of the meeting.
All present were advised that the minutes of the General Meeting held on Monday the 8th of November
2010 were confirmed at the Executive Meeting and copies were available from the table along with copies
of the calendar (meeting dates) for next year.
The final meeting for the year, Christmas Luncheon to be held on Monday the 13th of December at the
Pavilion on the Park. Cost will be $30.00 per person. 33 members have now booked.
Time 11:30 A.M. for 12 Noon start.
The AGM will be held on Monday the 21st of February 2011.
The following death was reported: -
Ernst Gustav Kohlmorgan, Guard, Mile End on the 20th of November aged 79 years.
His funeral will be held on Wednesday the 24th of November at Ivan Butlers Funeral Chapel on OG Road Klemzig.

John Evans will be launching his third book at the Port Dock Museum at 2:30 P.M. on Sunday the 28th
of November 2010. Anyone wishing to attend is welcome to take an invitation from the table.
