Minutes of the GENERAL MEETING held on Monday, the 8th of November 2010 in the South West Community Centre, 171 Sturt Street in Adelaide.

President Lynn Venning welcomed members and declared the meeting open at 2:00 P.M.

APOLOGIES: - Nil.

President Lynn Venning introduced today's guest speaker, club member, Ray Jaensch, who presented a most interesting talk about his "Lion Safari in Africa".
At the completion of the talk, Lynn Venning thanked Ray for coming along and presenting a most informative and interesting talk. Members responded with acclamation.
Ray was then asked to draw the first raffle ticket.

GENERAL BUSINESS: -

35 members have now booked for the Christmas luncheon. Cost is $30 per person.
All payments would be appreciated by the next meeting.

All present were advised that the minutes of the General Meeting held on Monday the 25th of October 2010 were
confirmed at the Executive Meeting and copies were available from the table along with copies of the calendar (meeting dates) for next year.

Future meetings: - Monday 22nd November, John Evans, "Proceed to Wilmington".
The final meeting for the year, Christmas Luncheon to be held on Monday the 13th of December at the Pavilion
on the Park. Cost will be $30.00 per member. 33 members have now booked. Time 11:30 A.M. for 12 Noon.
The AGM will be held on Monday the 21st of February 2011.

John Evans will be launching his third book at the Port Dock Museum at 2:30 P.M. on Sunday the 28th of November 2010.

Ken McLaren is currently reading a very interesting book "History Atlas of World Railways" by John Westward,
which is available for loan from the Prospect Library.

Joe Habel was reported to be recovering from a broken Pelvis.

It was pleasing to hear that Ray Jaensch's wife is recovering well from her recent surgery.

Robert Hay is reportedly still in hospital.

Members were thanked for their attendance.

The Meeting was closed at 3:05 P.M.

There were 27 members present. Raffle proceeds after door prizes were $44.00
