Minutes of the GENERAL MEETING held on Monday, the 25th October 2010 in the South West Community Centre, 171 Sturt Street in Adelaide.

President Lynn Venning welcomed members and declared the meeting open at 2:00 P.M.

APOLOGIES: - Pat Marzhan and his wife (holidaying in Tasmania).

GENERAL BUSINESS: -
33 members have now booked for the Christmas luncheon.
The Auditor today certified the Financial Statement, for the September Quarter.
Leo has worked out the proposed calendar for next year. The majority of members were happy to have meetings
continue to be held on a fortnightly basis for the next year!
All present were advised that the minutes of the General Meeting held on Monday the 11th of October 2010
were confirmed at the Executive Meeting and copies were available from the table.
Val McGrady is still recovering after her recent knee replacement operation.
Our Patron Ron Fitch has had a fall injuring his head but is otherwise hale and hearty.
Our speaker Ray Jaensch was unable to attend due to his wife receiving emergency surgery.
The next meeting will be on Monday 8th November, and our speaker will be Ray Jaensch, who will talk about "Lion Safari's in Africa".
Future meetings: - Monday 22nd November, John Evans, the "Proceed to Wilmington".
The final meeting for the year, Christmas Luncheon to be held on Monday the 13th of December at the
Pavilion on the Park. Cost will be $30.00 per person including beverages. 33 members have now booked.
Time 11:30 A.M. for 12 Noon start.
The AGM will be held on Monday the 21st of February 2011.

Norma's funeral was well attended by 12 club members.
Members also attended the funeral of Arno Ramp.
Members then stood in silence for one minute in memory of our departed friends.

Lynn Venning then showed a video presentation of a recent holiday to Europe in 2008.

Members were thanked for their attendance.

The Meeting was closed at 3:00 P.M.
