Minutes of the GENERAL MEETING held on Monday, the 11th October 2010 in the South West Community Centre, 171 Sturt Street in Adelaide.
President Lynn Venning welcomed members and declared the meeting open at 2:00 P.M.

Our speaker today needed no introduction; Ray Jaensch who is well known to all members presented an interesting talk about his early life,
working for the S.A.R. and various railway-orientated holidays.
At the conclusion of Ray's presentation, Lynn Venning proposed a vote of thanks to Ray for coming along and speaking to the members.
The members responded with acclamation. Ray was then asked to draw the first raffle ticket.
SECRETARIES REPORT: -
30 members have now booked for the Christmas luncheon.
GENERAL BUSINESS: -
All present were advised that the minutes of the General Meeting held on Monday the 27th of September 2010 were confirmed at the Executive Meeting and copies were available from the table.
Robert Hay was still in Hospital as of the 30th of September.
Val McGrady had a knee replacement operation last week and was reported to be recovering well.
Kurt Kuppe was reported to be recovering from a gall bladder operation and is hopeful of being able to attend our next meeting.
Keith Robertson was welcomed back after a long absence.
Future meetings: - Monday 25th October, Ray Jaensch has agreed to continue on from today's talk about "Train Journeys around the World".
Monday 8th November, Ray Jaensch, "Lion Safari's in Africa".
Monday 22nd November, John Evans, "Proceed to Wilmington ".
The final meeting for the year, Christmas Luncheon to be held on Monday the 13th of December at the Pavilion on the Park.
Cost will be $30.00 per member and their partner.

Members were thanked for their attendance.
The Meeting was closed at 3:05 P.M.
