Minutes of the GENERAL MEETING held on Monday, the 5th July 2010 in the South West Community Centre, 171 Sturt Street in Adelaide.
President Lynn Venning welcomed members and declared the meeting open at 2:05 P.M.
APOLOGIES: - Eddie Halden.
Our guest speaker for today was club member John Newell, who gave a very interesting talk, about his experiences working for the S.A.R.
At the end of his talk, Lynn Venning proposed a vote of thanks to John. The members responded with acclamation.
John was then asked to draw the first raffle ticket.
GENERAL BUSINESS: -
All present were advised that the minutes of the General Meeting held on Monday the
21st of June 2010 were confirmed at the Executive Meeting and copies were available from the table.
Eddie Halden was reported to be on the sick list. He is currently recovering from a recent fall at the Adelaide Railway Station.
An invitation has been received from the South West Community Centre for two members
to attend their 5th Birthday Celebrations on Monday the 12th of July.
President Lynn Venning indicated that he would be able to attend.
The next meeting will be on Monday the 19th of July. Lynn Venning will show some early photos.
The Christmas Luncheon will be held on Monday the 13th of December at the Pavilion on the Park.
Cost will be $30.00 per member and their partner.
Club funds will cover the balance of the cost as well as paying for drinks.
Leo has assumed the duties of Treasurer due to the ill health of Robert Hay.
Three photos taken by Val McGrady of our Parton Ron Fitch at his 100th birthday luncheon were shown to members.

Members then sang happy birthday to Cyril Galic who was present at the meeting.
Members were thanked for their attendance.
