Minutes of the GENERAL MEETING held on Monday, the 17th of May 2010 in the South West Community Centre, 171 Sturt Street in Adelaide.

President Lynn Venning opened the meeting at 2:00 P.M.

Dawn Shearer was welcomed to the meeting as she has been unable to attend any meetings this year due to ill health.

Eddie Halden was welcomed back after a long absence.

Lynn Venning then introduced our guest speaker,

Maxine Cape who presented a very interesting power point presentation on the Aged Rights Advocacy Service.

At the conclusion of the presentation, Lynn Venning proposed a vote of thanks to Maxine.

The members then responded with acclamation.
Maxine was then asked to draw the first raffle ticket.

GENERAL BUSINESS: -

1. All present were advised that the minutes of the General Meeting held on Monday the  3rd of May 2010 were    confirmed at the Executive Meeting and   were available from the table.
2. The next meeting will be held in two weeks time on Monday the 31st of May.

    There will be a speaker from C.O.T.A. Topic will be "Depression in the Aged".
3. A general reminder of our Patrons 100th Birthday celebration to be held in three weeks time, on Monday the  7th of June at the Pavilion on the Park. 11:30 A.M. start for 12 Noon Luncheon.
    Names of anyone who wishes to attend who has not already advised Robert would be appreciated by the next  meeting. A booking for 30 has been made.
4. On Monday the 21st of June, Club Member John Morcom will speak on the demise of A.N.
5. On Monday the 5th of July, John Newell will talk about his railway experiences.
6. Currently Lynn Venning on Monday the 19th of July Lynn Venning with present some old railway photos or short Railway DVD's.

All offers to give a presentation will be considered.

Members were thanked for their attendance.

The Meeting was closed at 3:00 P.M.

There were 22 members present. Raffle proceeds after door prizes were $34.00
